Incorporated in 1959, The City of Winter Springs has continued to grow steadily. The City is making a significant investment in three separate water systems and has begun the process to finance and design two brand-new wastewater treatment plants. The City and Veolia, the plant operator, are working hard to improve the plants as part of the Water Works program to upgrade the City’s current wastewater, reuse, and stormwater infrastructure.

Central Winds Park is an award-winning park in the Winter Springs community. It contains picnic pavilions, a playground, a nature trail, a Dog Park, baseball and softball fields, soccer fields, basketball courts, and volleyball courts.

Bear Creek Nature Trail is a very pleasant passive area with a nature trail that parallels Bear Creek.

Sunshine Park is a neighborhood park with basketball and volleyball courts, picnic facilities, and small softball practice fields. Also located in this park is the Senior and Civic Center. The Civic Center with a community room and a kitchen is available for rent.

Torcaso Park is a neighborhood park with basketball courts, playground equipment, a splash playground, soccer field, football field, and fishing pier.

Lake Jessup Conservation Area has hiking trails and nature & wildlife areas.
